I booked in my car with them recently, advising them of the symptoms and likely issue. After providing an extortionate quote to replace the AC compressor, I asked if they could replace the compressor pulley and clutch instead, as I didnt require the AC to function and the issue only related to the compressor pulley. They repeatedly failed to call back when promised with updates regarding the availability of the required part, leaving me without a vehicle for two days. After two days of chasing, I was told the part was not available (even though it is readily available online). So after two days without a vehicle and repeated chasing for updates, I was charged a £57 diagnosis fee, for a diagnosis I had already provided to them, to collect my unrepaired car.
Unfortunately this sloppy, overpriced service doesn't surprise me from In Town Automotive. I will finally learn my lesson this time and won't be using the garage again.
Absolute heroes couldnt recommend them more.
